Another example of a severe test of animals is the LD50 test (lethal dose of 50). This experience is used to determine the toxicity of substances. During the test, a test product is introduced into the stomach through a tube in a group of animals. The dose of the injected substance is increased until 50% of the test subjects die.

And these are just a few examples of how cosmetic substances are tested on animals. In fact, there are dozens of them and they are all ruthless.
