Not long ago, a large treasure was found in Grodno (Belarus). This happened during the repair work in the house number 3 on the 2-nd Trudova street.
When dismantling the roof system, one of the employees found a hidden tobacco box. 23 gold coins, a pair of chains, more than two dozen rings, gold-plated crowns, a pair of gold nuggets and mortgages were discovered inside the box.
According to the forward estimate of the Historical and Archaeological Museum staff, the treasure was hidden by Jews during the German occupation of 1941-1943. During the Second World War the building was located on the territory of the former ghetto.
According to recent data, the find was estimated at almost $ 20,000. But this is not the final amount.
