The Queen of England spoke with humor about the whole weight of the crown on her head
“You can't look down to read the speech, you have to take the speech up. Because if you did your neck would break, it would fall off” the queen says with a smile, referring to the imperial crown, the main jewel of the Kingdom of England.
“Yes, fortunately my father and I have about the same sort of shaped head. But once you put it on it stays. I mean it just remains on”. This precious banner was created for the coronation of Victoria in 1838, after which the crown belonged to the father of Elizabeth - George VI.
The imperial crown has a high value in every sense, as it embodies the might of the British Empire. Also it is precious with a lot of stones - 2,868 diamonds, 17 sapphires, 11 emeralds and several hundred pearls. Separately, you can note the precious stone - the Ruby of the Black Prince, who has his own legend. Historians claim that the stone was stolen by King Bermejo in 1362 from Granada and handed over to the Black Prince of England.
